Information Centre

The Information Centre is a service office that provides day-to-day assistance to visitors – in particular third-country nationals coming to participate in the Paks II investment – regarding integration and settling in the locality. The Centre helps newcomers organise their lives, and strives to create harmony between the Hungarian and foreign communities.

The Centre’s principal tasks are to operate a support service providing information, to maintain close cooperation with the authorities (to prepare third-country nationals), and to help in arranging Hungarian administrative and legal affairs. The Centre also supports the organisation of events and excursions, and coordinates regional services.

The service has two main parts: the Information Centre Front Office and the Operator Service. The staff provide continuous support service during the office’s daily operation. The office can be visited during working hours and the operators can be reached on our 24-hour telephone helpline on weekdays and at weekends. The front office managers provide publications with guidance and information, confirm requests for quotations, communicate with service providers, help by supplying information and give advice. The operators speak foreign languages and can offer advice in person or over the phone in Russian, English, Ukrainian and Romanian, and aid the work of the front office managers by interpreting when the need arises. The service is financed from EU resources through the Migration Fund of the Interior Ministry “Open Paks” tender ID number 2.2.16/7-2019-00001. The aid period is 01.01.2020 – 12.31.2022.
